Peter Jackson Concert

A free concert given by the accomplished pianist who comes to share his music and the Gospel.

Peter Jackson at St. Leonard's Church Friday 10th February at 7.30pm
St. Leonard's Church

Church St., Padiham BB12 8HG

Peter, although now in his seventies, is an incredible pianist, and is blind! He lost his sight at the age of 16 months. During the 19 years he spent in institutions for the blind he showed a flair for and was encouraged to learn the piano. His repertoire includes classical, dance and jazz as well as sacred, but since he came to the point of a real trust in God, he has used his musical gift as a means of sharing his faith with others.

What we believe:
St. Leonard's and St. Margaret's are Church of England Churches, and we are part of the Diocese of Blackburn.

Fundamental to our Christian faith is the belief that the Bible is our ultimate authority, for this reason, clear Bible-based preaching is central to our Sunday and midweek services.

The key to understanding the Bible is the person of Jesus Christ - who He is, what He has done, what He will do and how we should respond to Him.

Padiham to welcome back Barry Davis
As a child Barry Davis lived on Berkeley Crescent and then Langdale Road in Padiham. He attended St Leonard’s School and later Ivy Bank in the late 70s and early 80s. As a teenager he became known as a gifted amateur boxer, but at the same time he had a reputation for an uncontrollable temper and a life that was dominated by the love of money and increasingly spent on the wrong side of the law. And then God dramatically changed Barry’s life. For a number of years he’s had a ministry to prisoners in Nicaragua and recently, with his wife Soosun, has opened a school for children in that needy part of the world. Come and hear Barry’s story from the man himself on Monday 27th February 2012 upstairs at Molly Rigby’s Club at 8pm. Free entry. Buy your own refreshments at the bar.
